BEET & CASHEW CHRISTMAS DRINK

'Smoothly sweet'

(4 glasses)

  • 6 red beets
  • A bit of fresh ginger
  • ½ tsp cardamon
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup raw unsalted cashews (previously soaked, for at least four hours)
  • 3 cups water
  • A dash of  Sea or Himalaya salt

Juice the beets and the ginger. To make the milk, place the nuts and the water in a blender, add the salt. Use a strainer or a cheese cloth to  filter/strain the milk. Now mix the juice with the milk and add the spices.

Drink it as it is or warm it up on low heat. You can add a spoon of your favorite sweetener, i recommend raw honey, fresh dade puree or maple syrup.
